St Andrew's Parish Church is
an active church in a growing community.
This web site is not only for
the parishioners but for the community as a whole
SAINT ANDREW'S RE-ORDERING
At last we are starting work
on St Andrew's Church after many years of planning, a great deal
of fund raising and generous grants and donations. We are going
to install a toilet in the old boiler room and a servery in the
corner of the Nave. The Chancel floor will be lowered to its
original height, the communion rail moved slightly to give more
room in the Sanctuary and a small meeting room constructed where
the old organ was. The vestry will be improved and a new boiler
installed. Thanks to a generous donor we will then redecorate
the church. We also hope make access to the church easier for
those in wheel chairs and those with buggies.
This work will take between
12 and 15 weeks during which time all services will be held in
All Saints'. So there will be an 8.30 am Holy Communion every
week and a 10.00 am Parish Communion most weeks though once a
month it will be replaced by "Worship for All" - a
short, child-friendly, informal act of worship for young and
old.
While the work is going on the
Catholic Masses at 6.30 pm will also be in All Saints'.
We hope everyone will make an
extra effort to support the services and look forward to worshipping
in the refurbished church in the Autumn.
The Rogation Service this
year will be on Sunday 27th April at 6.30 pm
As is now traditional, we are
again holding it on a farm and this year Mr arid Mrs John Churchouse
are very kindly hosting it for us in the barn at the top of Lodge
Hill.
Part of this Service will involve
blessing the farm itself, the crops, machinery and livestock
and praying for our farming community, not only in Cary and Ansford,
but nationally as well.
With all the negative things
that have been going on in agriculture over the last few years,
the farming community really needs our regular support and prayers.
So whether or not you are into rural matters, let's make this
service a huge success and come and hear what real farming is
all about, (and enjoy, no doubt, a jolly good tea afterwards!!).
ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETINGS
These are important meetings.

these meetings. This year we are also electing two Deanery Synod

make every effort to attend. The meetings will take place as
follows:

April 11.30 am at St Andrew's Church
All Saints' Tuesday 15th
April 7.30 pm at the Primary School
